Hi Guys! I am super duper excited to announce that I will be a 2021 Fabric Mart Fabricista! When I saw the call out on Instagram, I had to apply! They changed their process this year and all you had to do was apply. So what is a Fabricista anyway? Well, read on.

So, being a Fabricista means that I will be part of a group of other sewist who will be guest blogging over on the Fabric Mart blog at www.blog.fabricmartfabrics.com. I get to pick from their amazing selection of fabrics and make magic with it! I’ll be sharing makes, tips and tricks and of course, some of the different fabrics Fabric Mart has to offer. Just incase you’ve never shopped with Fabric Mart before, I’m sharing some of my makes I’ve made using Fabric Mart fabric.

Fabric Mart Makes

I made this top 3 years ago and used this Vibrant Pink Cotton Large Floral Paisley Print Crinkle Seersucker fabric from Fabric Mart. This is McCall’s 7784 and you can read all the deets HERE.

This dress was made 3 years ago also. I was gifted this fabric by my sew sis Marica from @heymaricamitchell on Instagram. This is a white ponte knit fabric I made to attend Diner En Blanc. Fabric Mart has THE best ponte knit hands down. You can read all the details about this dress HERE.

This is my all-time favorite Fabric Mart make. First of all, these are my first real pants I’ve ever made and I’m so proud of myself! Now, let’s talk about this fabric! It’s amazing, isn’t it? The fabric is called Chartreuse Polyester/Lycra Cady Stretch Suiting and I only paid $3 a yard for this fabric!!! Yes, you read that correctly. Make sure you check out more photos and info on my Chartreuse Power Suit HERE.

Last, but not least you can see some more Fabric Mark fabric in action in this video I did for my IGTV late last year. This video was recorded as part of the Virtual Holiday Sewcial I co-hosted last month. You can check it out HERE. Make sure you follow me on Instagram so you don’t miss out on my posts! Follow me HERE.

So you’ll be able to see my Fabric Mark posts staring April 1st and every other month after that! Of course I’ll remind you when I do post so you don’t miss a thing!

Before I go, I also wanted to share that I’ll be participating in Chopped Makers edition that’s being hosted by @madelinecreates_. All contestants will receive a mystery box and we have to create something with whatever is inside!! YIKES!! I’m a little nervous but it’s gonna be so much fun! Make sure you are following me on Instagram because I’ll be sharing lots of behind the scenes info that you won’t want to miss!

Until nex time,

Johanna
