DIY Silky Sleep Set

I am so excited that I can finally share with you all my DIY Silky Sleep Set! I had to opportunity to pattern test these 3 pieces from Designer Stitch and I’m over the moon! Let’s get right into all the details of my new yummy Sleep Set.

Designer Stitch Sleep Set

Ashley Cami Slip Sewing Pattern

Alright, first up is the Ashley Cami Slip Sewing Pattern. I used this pretty yellow polyester satin fabric I purchased at A to Z Fabrics. They’re a local fabric store. Unfortunately, you can’t purchase online but if you’re in the area you should drop on in. The Ashley Cami Slip comes in several length options. You can make a baby doll length, cami, or slip lengths at 19″ – 23″ long. I made the cami length version. You can also cut the cami on the bias or add bust darts. I decided to add the bust darts and not cut it on the bias. Based on my measurements I made a size 4. You can jazz up your Ashley Cami with your own selection of lace trim and lace appliques. I obviously did not add any lace or appliques, but you certainly can. It looks so pretty.

Barbara Shorts Lounge Pants Sewing Pattern

Let’s talk about these pants. YES, I made another pair of pants! I don’t know if you recall or not, but I declared this the year of the pants. I’m kind of falling behind on that goal as I’ve only made a few pair this year. I’m so happy I got to make the Barbara Shorts Lounge Pants! Another amazing pattern with loads of options. They sit right at your high hip level and can be made in the following lengths:

  • High Cut Cheeky Length
  • Short Shorts Length
  • Regular Shorts Length
  • 7/8ths Length
  • Full Length

Other options you can add to your Barbara Shorts Lounge Pants are square back pockets, side seam pockets and a mock ribbon bow tie at the center from. Lastly, you can add your own selection of lace trim and lace appliques. For my pants I chose to make them in the same fabric as my cami in the full length and added the side seam pockets. I made my pants in the size 4 based on my body measurements and I did not make any modifications to the pattern.

Marieke Robe Sewing Pattern

The Marieke Robe is the robe I never knew I needed in my life! These sleeves are everything! The Marieke Robe features ¾ sleeves with circular lower flounces and I just can’t get enough. I mean talk about elevating a robe! You can also add your own selection of lace trim and lace appliques and is made with an outer self fabric belt. I did make the belt, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to capture any good photos of it.

I made my Marieke Robe in a size 7 and did not make any modifications to it. This is another gifted fabric that my friend purchased for me while in Paris. This charmeuse satin fabric is so gorgeous, I didn’t want to cut into it. I’m so happy I held on to it because I love my robe!

I love that I can throw on my Marieke Robe with a pair of jeans, T-Shirt and heels and roll out. What an amazing feeling to be able to sew wardrobe building pieces and this robe is definitely one of those pieces.

Sleep Set Marieke Robe Seams

I have a little tip for you. You can finish your seams with a serger OR you can use French seams. Check out this tutorial I did when I made a kimono last year HERE.

What did you think of my Sleep Set? I’m totally over the moon. Now I have something amazing to wear in my living room while I Netflix and Chill.
